Q: What areas does Picnics Toronto serve?
A: Picnics Toronto proudly services the City of Toronto included with our events. We also service Toronto Island, the Greater Toronto Area, Niagara Region, Muskoka Region, Waterloo Region and Kingston.
Q: What types of venues do you arrange events in?
A: Our picnics can take place in various scenic locations throughout Toronto, including beautiful parks, serene beaches, and enchanting gardens. We can also arrange events in private venues for a more exclusive and secluded experience, ensuring privacy and elegance.
Q: What are the best picnic locations in Toronto for a romantic event?
A: Our most requested romantic locations are Cherry Beach for sunset over the water, Toronto Island and Ward's Island for skyline views and privacy, Trinity Bellwoods Park for tree cover downtown, and Sunnyside Beach for west end sunsets. We also set up at Balmy Beach, Silver Birch Beach, Alexander Muir Memorial Gardens, Spadina Museum and Adamson Estate. For proposals we usually recommend Toronto Island or Cherry Beach at golden hour. Toronto Island setups carry an island fee of $125 to $150 CAD.
Q: Where can I find Instagram-worthy picnic setups in Toronto?
A: Every setup we build is designed to photograph well. Our most photogenic locations are Cherry Beach at golden hour, Toronto Island with the skyline behind you, Trinity Bellwoods under the trees and Sunnyside Beach at sunset. We offer 18 colour themes including Boho, Terracotta, Pretty in Pink, Secret Garden and Coastal Blue, and can add a circle backdrop, flower arch or balloon arch for a dedicated photo moment.
Q: Do you need a permit for a picnic in Toronto?
A: For most of our picnics, no. The City of Toronto does not require a booking for gatherings of fewer than 25 people, provided you are not using a personal BBQ and are not reserving a designated picnic site or shelter. A permit is required for groups of 25 or more, for portable BBQ use, or if you want to reserve a specific picnic area, shelter or firepit. We will advise you based on your location and guest count.
